At ISC West 2026, Advanced Data Risk Management (ADRM) announced a new strategic partnership with the Secure Building Council (SBC), focused on advancing the SHIELD Certification Program and improving how building security is evaluated and managed.
As part of this effort, ADRM’s DEFENDER platform will be used to support and conduct SHIELD Assessments - helping determine a building’s certification level through a structured, technology-enabled approach.
The SHIELD Certification Program provides a structured framework for building owners to demonstrate alignment with security best practices across four key areas: physical security, technology and systems, operations and procedures, and governance and compliance. Certification is awarded across three tiers - Essential, Advanced, and Elite - reflecting increasing levels of integrated security maturity.
ADRM’s experience in risk and vulnerability assessments, combined with its technology capabilities through the DEFENDER platform, positions the team to support SBC’s mission of making security more measurable, actionable, and accessible.
The announcement at ISC West featured remarks from ADRM President & CEO Dan O’Neill, ADRM CTO Matt Isgur, SBC Executive Director Derek Ommert, and Michael Neolia, who shared perspectives on the importance of standardizing how security is assessed and implemented across buildings.
